This is chem class. We were studying about organic chem. Our teacher made a demo by using nail polish and polystyrene cups. Look what happened!



I decided that i should hold the cup cuz kate didnt want her nail polish to be...well..removed..

This is the place where we study mechanics. We were waiting for our teacher to come but he didnt show up eventhough we waited for half an hour..so..woo!



Since it was tiffany's (tau fu fa's) last day of exams..we decided to celebrate by going to town and have a little walk. We were supposed to buy a basketball pump but she was too happy till she forgot all about it..

I bought this !!! my first self-bought ps2 game *sigh ^^*
Its second hand so its cheaper..it cost RM25. Is that cheap for an original game? I felt bad spending my money on a game but..oh well :P
sad huh..having so much fun with it now..but the thing is..the school doesnt provide us with the memory card so we have to restart the story mode and start from scratch every time we play it. So this is my plannn : go back during half term and bring back my memory card and bring one of the controllers as well! (the school ones are not working..so might as well bring it over :D)

BOO cuz i love chem.

Maths was fine. My mechanics teacher gave us an orange *note its not 'gave us each an orange* so we shared segments lol. But i was happy..the first chinesey thing of the day.

Biology was fun i guess. Looking at garlic root cells under the microscope looking at their nucleus.



Couldnt be bothered to go gyming.

Finally have my camera from the photography club. Black and white pictures here i come!

No chemistry! That means i have 4 periods free in a row! Talked to my parents for the first time after new year. Aih..ruyee telling me almost every detail..and how my cousins tortured my aunt's cat. *you guys are sooo evil !! you know who you are -squints-*

Went to tiffany's room and somewhere we started talking about Pokemon. I was flipping through her pokemon cards and i found this cute one lol



PE lessons : I had rebounders. Its like jumping on a mini trampoline. Yeah its a sport somehow..very tiring..jumping the to the beats of the music with different body movements? something to do with body coordination lah..but its different today cuz we were skipping rope ON the trampoline! Which makes things even worse. I was so unfit. well i AM still unfit. Only could jump 30 times straight with both legs in the air..panting all the way. I swear i could feel my heart burn. *hmm accumilation of lactic acid?*

Seminar society - didnt know 90% of stuff in the quiz. note to self : Need to read more papers.

D of E : didnt do anything really. Just listening to phillipa driving kate and hannah insane.
I ran for dinner *british here call it supper* thinking that there was chinese food but but but gahhh

But im really happy that my family and my little cousins each sent me a chinese new year card ^^

DAY 1

I had difficulty sleeping last night.

It was too quiet for new year's eve.

Its quite sad that i had to imagine the sound of fireworks to go to bed. Those annoying ones that goes like fweauuuu ~~~~ POP
and the other one that goes POP POP POP POP every second.

Last night i had chinese take away food..king prawns with noodles..not too bad but i wasnt really satisfied..i mean..the feeling's so different..eating here without my family..

The next morning..i ate hashbrowns and some porridge and i was thinking : everybody else at home is having non-english food..cookies..keropok..love letters..that thin pork pieces thing..and here i am..sitting in the dining hall..eating hashbrowns.

And then i was imagining what would happen during the eclipse..my sis and all my cousins looking out the window when they're all at my uncle's place? Its just so unfair that a cool solar eclipse HAD to happen this year..when im gone -...-

Wan shin told me that its not good to cry on the first day of CNY..but somehow i dont really have the urge to..which is sorta like a good thing and a bad thing really.

This post is just to help me release some stress. Hope o2mania can help too..

Okay here comes the reading part......

Chemistry

A coupla days ago i had my chem practical test. Its nothing like PEKA. We work alone. Cant talk. And its freakin scary.

We had to read the instruction sheet. Its about titration..seems simple enough..just add the alkali into the burrette and the acid in the conical flask using a pipette.

But one thing sorta bugged me : i didnt have my lucky burrette.

Yes i have one. It has a grey handle and the top bit is chipped off and it has given me concordant results all the way through my titration life.

But that day..since my chem teacher set it up for us..i didnt get to choose my lucky burrette ^^"

Out of 6 titrations (counting the rough one) only 3 were concordant..not good man..but 3 is all i need. Today i had the written test. I think it was quite tough =x thank god its over.

Oh and once..i forgot to add the indicator xD (from colourless to pink) and i was like swirling the conical flask..swirling..swirling..*$&%( forgot to add the indicator! My hands were shaking when i added 4 drops and i was like praying *pleaseturnpinkpleaseturnpink* my heart was seriously burning..it turned pink in the end so phew..

Duke of Edinburgh Award

Its sorta like outward bound thing..but i think this is worse. We have to walk 20km in 4 days (that would be during Easter and one on the 28th of august)
Anyway..i needed to do some volunteering work for D of E. So i decided to choose to 'work' at Elizabeth House. Its a place for mentally disabled people.

I seriously thought i could handle it..like..i thought i could take care of them and stuff. But the moment i arrived..i couldnt stop peeling my fingernails. I'll save the details for your sake.

After what seemed like forever it was time to go (it was only half an hour!) and i think i should switch my voluntary work to something else. I was quite surprised at myself. I was so traumatised last night till i couldnt do my homework.

Seminar society

In this co-curiculum activity, we have to make a presentation about a course you wanna do in uni. But the thing is. Im still uncertain. And i have to make the talk 20 -25mins long. You know how bad i am at public speaking..i cant even stand 10 minutes.
*hmm random thought..i suddenly remembered our KH teacher mrs teong who had ENDLESS slideshows of KH stuff lol maybe she can give me some tips on how to make a very long powerpoint presentation*

Biology course work

Meh. Cant be bothered really. But i have to. Basically we have to write an article about a disease or whatever is related to biology. I was thinking of the topic 'sleep' so i can write stuff about dreams..its easier for me to write something that i think is interesting.

Random thoughts

i cant believe im saying this but..

i miss pesky mosquitoes and ants.

Yeap. Its weird not being bothered by insects. I enjoy swatting mosquitoes and hunting them down and stuff..but now..its like..nothing's bothering me. And that's a problem.

Yeah its a football! Not mine its tiffany's =P i had so much fun yesterday trying to sharpen my skills for balancing and football stuff. Tiffany taught me how to do the 'rainbow' i succeeded only
once. She encouraged me to headbutt the ball. I did a nosebutt instead. It hurt :(

once when i was bored..i blew bubbles out of my window. Yeah i have nothing better to do x)



Outside my window theres this platform thingy. Looks kinda tempting to climb out of the window to walk on it. But i wouldnt dare. But i believe tiffany would do it one day cuz shes living right next to me so her window is directly facing the platform!
