The sky.
It's here.
It's at home.
Whenever I look up,
(may it be the darkest or the bluest)
it reminds me of home.
Even when i was in sri kdu.
Those rainy days after school..the sky looked like the world was going to end that day.
It was raining when we were in the F4A classroom..feeling a little colder than usual while watching it pour outside.
And then there those painfully too-hot days where the sky was too bright to look at.
Watching guys playing football in the almost botak school field.
How the football always ended up in the bush.
In the UK,
The sun is a rarity and is worshipped here.
The blue reminds me of random events where i associated the sky with.
The beach. Sports day. Swimming party in f4.
the sound of rain is almost inaudible here.
The sky a constant grey.
Drizzle particles hit my face while walking to the science block.
And when there's heavy rain..
I stop whatever im doing, open the windows...and listen.

drivers license
Finally! My parents got my PERMANENT drivers license!
Mum showed it to me via webcam on skype.
Me : *excited* omg omg my new license!!
Mum : * showed it to me*
Me : *note of disappointment* oh. That's it? Same colour? No difference one
Mum : Well...
Me : hmmm yes..the msian flag is bigger on the permanent one...and that's it....
Mum : The 'P' is gone
Me : ....... oh yeah.
why didn't I see that - __ -

Shadows and Sunflowers
It was raining in the weekly market in Salisbury.
There was a florist. There were sunflowers.
They were wet from the rain -
but they smiled at me ever so brightly,
despite the cold, miserable rain.
I bought a bunch of them.
Gave them to friend while they were still wet -
and wondered if she thought about the very same thing.

Everything looks so different in the dark.
The shadow of the bench outside was brought to life by an orange lamp.
The wooden door which I see everyday was now shadowed by its protruding corners.
The sound of rain -
it enhanced the sound of the shadows.
I wanted to lie under it all -
like a sunflower under the rain.

Fireflies
It's a song by Owlcity. Heard of it? It's awesome :)
The title reminded me of the thing itself. I miss them.
My 1st encounter with the lantern of the night was when there was a powercut.
My family and i will normally sit on the swing next to the silent pond (pump got stopped) and just talk about random stuff.
And then i saw one. I thought it was a trick of my eyes..(when i was younger i see funny swirling shiny dust in the dark..is that normal lol)
i saw it again at another time when i was just about to sleep.
I managed to cup it in my hands, watching it with fascination.
I was sad to let it go..but i knew i had to.
The winking light flew up to a tree.
That was the last time i saw one. God knows how many years ago was that..about ten?
I'l make sure i'l treasure every moment with it the next time i meet a firefly.

Danceee!! aka GGT
Godolphin's Got Talent, GGT
Let me explain this.
There are 2 sections of GGT : junior and senior.
Top 6 were chosen for each category.
We got number 5.
In the finals, there are 12 ( 6+6 lol) contestants.
And only 3 are chosen.
Senior GGT
okay so we had a little spare time...
We were copying one part of the following vid ;P
PS this is a parody!! Theyre NOT gay!
it's a really good stress reliever. Trust me.
Before the performance..we were watching other contestants!
We were extremely nervous. Never felt my heart beat so hard since..ever.

This was 10 days after the senior GGT.
So we only had 10 days to learn the new moves.
To distract ourselves from the competition...
BE MAN.
In the end..we didn't win. But we sure had a lot of fun :)
