A different goodbye.

As i observed the contours of layers of the white rose given, I was mesmerised by the shadows hiding in each outline of the flower. They seem to bring the white being to life eventhough shadows themselves are dark creatures.

In such a short span of time, I've created a bond with it.

Brushing the tip of my nose on one of the scented petals, I looked up.
A man talking in front..what was he saying?
I only caught the cue.

We walked forward. Lined up.

Very much reluctantly, I placed the rose along with the others, almost the same colour as the coffin. They were in a line *just like us?*

Leaving something beautiful behind, just like leaving a wonderful person behind.

With blurred vision, I realised they were singing a hymn.
*Since when?*

It all ended so fast.

I wonder how long it'll take for me to catch up.
