Fusion of thoughts

This entry was written in the span of 3 days..just feeling pretty slow to write anything. Here it is!

So 1st year of uni has come and gone.
I wish I could go back being a fresher again, where I see people with that sparkle of keennest in their eyes, I did try to contain my excitement..didn't wanna scare people off you know :/
I was totally fired up for this, with a little bit of fear tagging not very far behind. The seed of fear in which my elder sister planted in me the moment she said 'Sometimes, you will feel lonely at uni'. And I was afraid because there IS a possibility of that happening, and that was the last thing I wanted to feel. Fortunately I was nothing near isolation :)
I remember the first couple of months I was trying to remember people's names more than remembering what I've learnt in lectures (okay so slighttt exaggeration there) Which reminds me of what Delirium said in Neil Gaiman's Sandman comic:

'Is there a word for forgetting the name of someone when you want to introduce them to someone else at the same time you realize you've forgotten the name of the person you're introducing them to as well?''

Thankfully that didn't happen to me haha. I would just find the situation strangely amusing if it were to happen to me.

There seemed to be a gazillion things happening all the time in uni - gigs, talks, concerts, bar crawls etc etc I must say I was in a feeding frenzy, joined some clubs and societies to encourage myself to get involved with the pool of people. However in the end out of 3 societies I've joined, I was only active in one, sadly.

I've been flipping through some photographs on the National Geographic website to be more inspired and hoping to learn some new techniques and some ideas on how to convey your message through a photograph. I've just cycled to Bath today which took me an hour and a half and man it was tiring (I have not exercised for an entire year since I started uni!). And I was focusing on taking pictures of people today. Here's one of my fave shot that I took of today.

Taken from my handphone since I lost my camera last week :( but that didn't stop me from taking pictures!! This picture shows tourists listening to an audio guide on the Roman Baths.

and here' s a pigeon who just 'attacked' one of the tourists..it kinda looked like as if it's saying : You're NEXT!

I'm moving out at the end of the week. I hardly packed anything. I just wish my bags had whirlpools in them so it would fill itself with whatever junk I have.
Hmm Delirium might have taken a toll on me.

Had thai food 2 nights in a row. Here's what we had today at Thai Edge :)

I had chicken satay and peanut sauce for starters

chicken tom kha soup

poh pia

prawn pad thai

Mixed seafood kow pad

Have been eating out lately and that makes my tummy happy hehe.
Hooters up next! :P

Exactly 2 weeks to my flight home. Seems very far away though..I miss home cooked food alot..I'm already fantasising on opening the fridge in the kitchen browsing for stuff for my itchy teeth to munch on.

I especially miss Skippy chunky peanut butter.

Last night, I had a dream about you ♪

I thought I would get sick of Daft Punk's 'Discovery' album, the one with Interstella 5555. It was on my playlist for exams and I play it at least 3 or 4 times a day. But I found myself going back to that same link on youtube, watching the Interstella 5555 movie One More Time! (btw 5555 stands for the 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem :O !)

One time my desk number for exams was 555 and the whole playlist just started playing while I was happily doing my exams :)

That aside, last night I watched Kungfu Panda 2 and the Green Lantern back to back. Well, almost. We had a dinner break in between.

My friend had pork ribs and it was pretty damn good! D:

I had oven baked cod. Surprisingly they didn't debone it! Kinda rare in this country to have a fish with bones on your plate?
My other 2 friends had burgers. But since I have something against burgers I'm not putting any pictures up :P

The day for me to return home is drawing near. I still haven't packed yet, I don't know where to start! The weather now is pretty PMS-ey. It was pouring heavily just now..almost a cats-and-dogs type of rain..and now i see blue sky, the sun, and shadows! It will most prolly disappear as fast as it appeared.

2 more lab sessions and I'm free! Results for biochem were released yesterday and I PASSED. Phew. Now I have to wait for chem results next Friday..shall keep myself distracted so I wouldn't worry so much about it.

It's still morning, I better do something productive.

Waffling about

Look! He's swishing his tail! That makes a happy Waffles :D
Just can't get enough of him. I decided to catnap him to my room! Using my cat calling skills, I managed to persuade him to come up to my room..so technicallyyyy he wasn't catnapped!

Other than that I have been extremely lazy ever since exams ended 2 weeks ago. I have been ticking off the stuff in my to-do list but I somehow feel that I can do much more, yet I don't feel like doing anything but to decay in my room. But life isn't that cruel I'm glad that I have company :)

Oh and I've started on my skills labs for chemists. I've got labs everyday but wednesday this week and labs on monday and tuesday next week.
Each session lasts from 11-5pm.
'nuf said.

I've been thinking alot on food lately - food at home that is. I just want to gobble everything which is within my sight once I get back.

And the weather these past 2 days have been quite nice - warm and sunny! But the weather forecast shows shitty weather for the next few days so..I really am looking forward to the warm and humid weather back at home.

That's it for now.
